Larry Moore was born in San Leandro, California and moved to Des Moines, Iowa with his mom and brother to live with his grandma at five years old. During middle school and high school, his life was filled with music, sports, and theater which became the foundation for his love of the educational space.
He attended Truman State University where he received a bachelor's degree in Psychology with a theater education. Later, he went on to get his Master's of Education in English Theater and Rhetoric from Drake University. Larry has had a rich career as a performer with multiple main stage theater roles and poetry achievements, including being featured as a finalist in the international SLAM-o-Vision poetry competition which ultimately give him a winning spot on the 5 poet Phoenix National Poetry team.
Larry has taught everything from pre-school to music creation classes and has coached a range of teams such as poetry, theater, football, and soccer. As a teacher, Larry was an English and social studies teacher before being selected to serve as an assistant principal of instruction for the 2023-2024 school year at 麻豆传媒在线 Yukon. He believes that education must be a holistic experience because scholars are individuals first and foremost. Building a foundation of love and respect is the only way to foster an atmosphere where scholars are excited and bought in to the educational opportunities that are being offered to them.
