A veteran educator of the Rio Grande Valley, Ms. Saron Mata began teaching in 2006 at Monte Alto Elementary and transitioned to Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÔÚÏß in 2012. After several successful years teaching and leading third grade reading, Saron became an Assistant Principal of Instruction at Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÔÚÏß, and has been in the Principal in Residence program since 2016.
Saron possesses a deep understanding of the needs of students in the Rio Grande Valley, as well as the record of results proving that she can meet and exceed those needs.

Antonio Garza was born and raised in Edcouch-Elsa. Prior to joining Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÔÚÏß, Antonio spent more than 20 years working in the city’s ISD as a successful and respected teacher, assistant principal, and principal.
Antonio’s commitment to ensuring better educational outcomes for students from his community has been evident throughout his career, all of which was only further confirmed when he made the decision to join Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÔÚÏß in 2015 as a Principal-in-Residence after serving as the Principal of David Ybarra Middle School for more than a decade. He is looking forward to opening Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÔÚÏß Elsa in August 2018!

Elsa Hernandez was born and raised in Weslaco, Tx. She attended South Texas College and earned her associates in Accounting in May of 2006. She began her journey at Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÔÚÏß in July 2006 working as part of the Operations Team for Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÔÚÏß Donna's flagship campus. Ms. Hernandez joined Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÔÚÏß-U in October of 2018 to further her educational career. She graduated from Southern New Hampshire University with her bachelor’s in Management in October 2020.
Ms. Hernandez continued her career at Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÔÚÏß Donna for 15 years as a Sr SIS Coordinator. In June of 2021, she was offered an opportunity to lead the Operations team at Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÔÚÏß Elsa as the Assistant Principal of Operations. In the 15 years of working at Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÔÚÏß, she has seen firsthand students who have graduated not only high school but college as well and return as transformational leaders in our schools and communities. This is the dream she has for every Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÔÚÏß family that is welcomed each year as Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÔÚÏß Elsa.
